When hooking my computer up to my tv to watch blu ray movies, I get about a 3 inch black bar on the top and bottom of the screen like a normal widescreen movie. Here is the tv I have:

I know that it only plays in 1080i but it still should cover the entire screen. I stretch it to fit the screen the best I can but the images get blurry. Any help would be appreciated.

I will get a HD TV and DVD player soon, but, do I need to replace all of the older style DVD’s?

I know PC games are DVD so they’re at the most 12GB, so are there Blue ray games that use almost 50GB of space?

So I am new to Blu-Ray. I have rented about 4 of them so far, and every one of them has had the black bars. Why?

I was just wondering if it were possible to fit a whole season of a TV show on blu-ray. I heard that they hold 80 gigs of space so i was wondering why TV shows are still like four or five discs. Shouldn’t they be able to condense it down to one.

in my regular dvd player, most movies are letter box type with the black bars on the top and bottom. is blu ray different? I would think it’s the same since the ratio is the same from movies to the TV.
