Hi all,

I bought Hancock the other day on blu-ray disc and it’s not playing on my laptop, it only seems to play on the PS3 – is this because it’s blu-ray?

Also, the DVD came with a digital bonus disc, which allows me to download the DVD onto the computer I think, but I don’t wanna’ do that I just wanna’ play the movie.

Ideas?

another thing is is resident evil extinction out on HD DVD at all cause if blue -ray dont work i want to get HD dvd will HD dvd play in this computer too

like i know they can play them but im talking about putting them in cars, stereos, like CD’s are like 700mb, why cant you start burning Audio Blu-Rays that can play in cars, or if that is still too exepnisve at least DVD Audio, then you get 5.1 ;0

just wondering why do they still use CD.

i know blu-ray players and ps3’s etc can play audio off a blu-ray or dvd, but im talking about everything else like steroes and cars etc.

no your wrong, i can burn a MP3 dvd and paly it on my dvd player or ps3.

and i can put videos a CD, im asking why do they still use the outdated CD.

I know it is region specific for Blu Ray discs, but what about DVDs? I am thinking about buying from Amazon.

I am looking to buy a Wii but I was wondering if they had plans in the future to make it able to play blu-ray.

I was just trying to play District 9 on my PS3 slim. I went to play the disk (the icon wasn’t blue either) then it wouldnt play the movie. It instead said that I have to enable WMA’s. I dont understand what that means but when I did what it said on the screen, it said that it couldnt because there was no ethernet cord detected. it will however, play PS3 games, so i dont think theres a problem with the Bluray scanner. Pluss i just got it for chirstmas. does this mean I have to have an Internet connection to play my bluray? if not, what should I do to get it to play?
I just got the system TODAY, so nothing should be wrong. Also, keep in mind that District 9 is almost a brand new movie. PS3s do need to update in order to play them sometimes as a friend told me earlier.
