I’m going to get a new computer so Ive been doing research the last couple days. I want it for college, games, downloading movies and music, tv and blue ray. This is what I came up with. some questions I have are is this a good deal. Is this a really good, or almost top quality computer. Is this good or should i get something less or something more. Wireless Port? Raid Setting? I really know nothing about computers so this is just what I came up with.

I read here http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/01/02/why-the-ps3-isnt-the-best-blu-ray-player/ that the PS3 does not contain the DTS HD audio codec. This was written in January, so I was wondering if this is still the case as of now. Is that the only “problem” with the PS3 as a blu ray player? Thanks.
Thanks for the helpful answer! Will the LPCM downgrade the sound quality of DTS HD make it sound worse? Or will it be the equivalent of Bitstream?

if i return my ps3 slim for a replacement unit within 30 days of the purchase date will they give me a new unit, no questions asked, also will blu ray discs loading slowly and making loud noises occuring just after inserting a disc be enough for them to give me a new unit

I am getting a ps3. I was just wondering what was the big fuss about high def movies. they’re about $15 more expensive than regular DVDs. are they worth it? and if I want to rent one from blockbuster, are they the same price to rent as regular DVDs with no late fees?

What is the point in them. I havent exactly made my home theater yet. But Can i not just hook up my blueray player and surround sound directly to my projector itself??? What exactly does the av reciever bring/do to me??? As you can see i really dont know much about this kinda stuff!!! PLease HELP…explain!!!
