  1. TECHNICALLY no you dont need a HD TV but sometimes it looks weird on standard tele

SECONDLY does your computer have a hd screen huh? betcha never thought of that even a labtop will work just need to get adapter cable

  2. A standard definition TV is natively set to 480 vertical lines. DVDs work well on these because they are also encoded at this resolution. However, Blu-Rays are natively encrypted at 1080 lines which only HDTVs can project.

So, you don’t have to have a HDTV, but a Blu-Ray in a Blu-Ray player on a standard definition TV is going to look like a regular DVD… So, therefore, not worth the extra cost.

  3. You can hook up your Bluray TV to your SDTV just to see some pictures or hear some sound

But it will be just like driving Lamborghini on crowded street in India

Get yourself some HiDef TV if you already have good equipment

Not only TV..upgrade your sound system. if you havent get yourself surround system. Now it’s the time

It’s ok if you still want to drive your Bluray on your current equipment
Just suggest you that, it doesn’t look cool at all
