		<description>Blu-ray players will play all DVD&#039;s just fine.  Some will even upconvert and make the picture a tad bit better as well.

It get the absolute best picture, 1080p would be preferred, but 720p looks great as well.  That&#039;s something I would not sweet.</description>

There are plenty of affordable TV&#039;s with resolutions of 720p that will do just fine. And yes a Blu-ray player will play a standard DVD w/ no problem. Do not go out &amp; replace your collection. Only buy the new releases on Blu-ray or the ones that you feel are your favorites. </description>
