Blu -Ray movies look a whole lot better then DVD movies. Will it replace DVD? I don’t know, but I think it stands a good chance of doing it.
HELL NO!!! LOL blu ray blows anything out of the water. as of right now blu ray is the only hd source to offer 1080p resolution. hd cable and satellite only offer 720p. blu ray will also upscale or upconvert a standard definition dvd from 480p to near 1080p quality. as an emloyee of bestbuy i believe blu ray is very close to replacing to dvd. they have also come down in price dramatically.
Sure seems like it these days.
